To grow we must push our limits. Every time I have stepped outside of a comfort zone, I have learned heaps about myself and the world around me. With each of these steps, I move further away from my safe, sometimes unchallenged 'default' speed and nearer to a better version of myself.
The Strangers project is meaningful to me for a few reasons:
--First, I need a satisfy a curiosity I have, the belief we nearly all are 'makers' at heart -- that we all have an intrinsic need to pursue creativity;
--Second, I need to push the current limits of my own photographic craft;
--Third and finally, though I have a deep and genuine love for all people, I have a hard time approaching strangers especially if I have to ask them for help, and this project challenges me to step outside my stranger-danger zone, making some new acquaintances along the way.
Below are the people I have met who are graciously collaborating with me on this project. It is not my project alone, it belongs to everyone who chooses to participate. I'm very proud and excited to share the project with you. Check back often as the collection grows.
