I enjoyed creating this series because it offers an opportunity to see beyond the recognizable details of an image. When left unfocused in this way, the image becomes a choose-your-own-adventure: you can contemplate the color, mood, and essence of an image without focusing on the hallmarks of structure and context, or you can challenge your mind to unravel the mystery and create your own tale of the image you're viewing.
